a tapestry of english folklore: GFW x untagged competition

This project focuses on creating stories. The brief was to make a garment constructed out of repurposed textiles. My concept focused on each of the items telling a story, and then these stories being combined to make a “tapestry” of sorts. I drew on themes of English folklore/heritage, with stories such as Robin Hood, as well as looking into the meanings of English proverbs. I liked the idea of melding language with design, and so this project is my way of writing a story, using textiles and the 3D form.
